Types of dialog box in computer

Dialog Box

Dialog box is a rectangular box where options related to setting a single command are available. For example, if you want to save the file, then you can click on the File menu to open the dialog box and click on Save. Similarly, to format the font, click on the Format menu and click on Font. The Save as and Font dialog boxes are shown describing its various components.

The different types of components of the dialog box are described as follows:

Text Box - 

This is a box in which you can type any text, such as the name of the file in the File name text box.

List Box - 

A box with a list of several options is called a list box. You can scroll down the options in the list box to the right and the bottom, such as the name of the folder and the name of the file are displayed in the Folder and Files list box. The font list box contains the names of different types of fonts.

Push Button - 

All those symbols and dialog boxes on clicking which end some instructions are called push buttons. Push buttons such as the Open button in the Open dialog box containing the Open command.

Check Box - 

These are square buttons that display 3 symbols. These have off or on buttons. These are on or off options. If these items are clicked once, they turn on, but if you click them again, they turn off.

Radio Button - 

These are all circular symbols, which when clicked show the dot in the middle of the circle. All of these are always displayed in a set of multiple options from which one can select one at a time. 

Spinner - 

These are all such text boxes with two arrow symbols on the right side, which can be clicked to increase and decrease the number.

Drop down List Box or Combo Box - 

All these special boxes on whose right side the symbol remains and in which there is a list of options, after clicking which option is displayed.
