1. File Transfer Protocol 


This protocol works to send files from one computer network to another computer network. This protocol is also helpful in copying files from the host computer or server to any other computer.

2. Gopher


Gopher is another type of information retrieval tool on the Internet. It was developed at the University of Minnesota, USA. It provides a user-friendly interface. Through Gopher, a user can get information on the Internet. Gopher searches for the information desired by the user and brings it in front of him. It is very easy to use. Apart from this, Gopher is also helpful in connecting many Internet services together.


3. Electronic mail


E-mail is a short form of electronic mail service sent by computer. E-mail has made it possible to send large amounts of information through an electronic system at the speed of light. Through this you can send or receive any information or message. Letters, greetings and computer programs can be sent to any part of the world by connecting the computer to the telephone through a modem.


4. Telnet 


This protocol is helpful in connecting the user to a remote computer. Just as phone numbers can be dialed, in the same way data can be transferred among themselves.

Telnet is a service that allows you to access the various services available on another computer by accessing it. Username and password are required while working on Telnet. When the user name and password are correct, the user connects to the remote computer.



5. Newsgroups 


Newsgroups are discussions on topics ranging from entertainment activities to scientific research. Some newsgroups can be accessed by any Internet user, while others are more commercial in this respect. You must subscribe to access them and you will not forward this information. You have to agree on this. You can read articles on it and you can also write and send your articles. You can also send your thoughts on printed articles in the form of articles and find new article groups. You can also chat with fellow users using the e-mail facility. A newsgroup of interest to computer experts is called comp.


6. World Wide Web 


World Wide Web is a type of database that is spread all over the world. The user receives information through this. In this, the title related to the information is given by the user. It can access all the information related to that title. Earlier, only written information was available in the World Wide Web, but now images, sound, cartoons or any other material that you can imagine is available in it. Browser software such as Internet Explorer, Netscape is required to get information on it.

Gopher Server does not necessarily serve the same time as Veronica Server. Veronica Server has a better use than Archie Server, in that the user does not need to know the name of the file.


9. Wide Area Information System


It is usually addressed by voice. It is a type of search system that provides the user by covering the file requested by the user from the server. Voice (WAIS) tells about the aids where the file is available. If the file requested by the user is not found on one WAIS server, then this WAIS server takes the help of another WAIS server.


10. Whois


This service is used to get information related to internet users, domain name and organization.can use


Youit to find the names of email ads, host computers and domains. This information is obtained from a large registry database where information related to organizations and users such as names, host computers are registered.


11. Internet Relay Chat


Internet relay chat or chat is a popular method for Internet users. With the help of which real time connection is established. Unlike email, chat requires no waiting time to send and receive messages between the sender and the recipient. Internet Relay Chat is often referred to as the CB of the Internet. Radio is called CB Radio because it helps to involve many people in a discussion at the same time.


Internet relay chat is a multi-user system where people join a channel to talk privately or publicly. Channels are discussion groups where people discuss a single topic. The message of the chat is typed on the user's computer and it is received by all the users connected to the Internet Relay Chat channel. Users can read it, reply to it, ignore it, or create a new message of their own.
