1. Keyboard
The keyboard is the primary way to enter information into a computer. There are two types of keyboards standard and ergonomic. A standard keyboard is designed to be comfortable for long periods of time, while an ergonomic keyboard is designed to reduce repetitive strain injuries. Ergonomic keyboards have different layouts than standard keyboards, including a reduced number of keys, larger letters, and special symbols.
2. Mouse
A mouse is a device that uses a ball-shaped object to detect movement across a surface. Most mice use a roller ball or optical sensor to track movement. Mice can be wired directly to a computer's USB port or wireless via Bluetooth technology.
3. Touch pad
A touch pad is a flat pad that detects motion over its surface. Like a mouse, a touch pad can be connected wirelessly to a computer. Unlike a mouse, however, a touch pad does not require a separate pointing device. Instead, users can simply place their fingers on the touch pad to move the cursor around the screen.
4. Trackball
A trackball is similar to a mouse except that it rotates instead of moves. A trackball is often used in conjunction with a mouse to provide additional functionality.
5. Headphones
Headphones are devices worn on or near the ears that allow people to listen to music or watch videos without disturbing others. Headphones may be wired directly to a stereo system or they may connect to a portable MP3 player.
6. Speakers
Speakers are devices that produce sound. There are many different types of speakers, including bookshelf speakers, desktop speakers, laptop speakers, car speakers, and home theater speakers. Speakers can be wired directly to an amplifier or they can connect to a portable MP 3 player.
7. Microphone
Microphones are devices that pick up sounds. There are many different kinds of microphones, including condenser, dynamic, electret, piezoelectric, and ribbon microphones. Microphones can be wired directly to recording equipment or they can connect to portable MP 3 players.
8. Touchscreen
Touchscreens are screens that allow users to interact directly with what they are looking at without using a mouse or keyboard. These screens are becoming increasingly popular due to the convenience they provide. However, touchscreens are not always compatible with all devices.
9. DVD Player
DVD players are devices that play DVDs. They are similar to VCRs except they do not record anything. They are used to watching movies and TV shows.
10 . Television
Televisions are flat-panel displays that show images. Televisions are used to watch movies, TV shows, and sports events.
11. Entering Text
The first step in entering text into the computer is to press the spacebar. When you do this, the cursor moves down to the line below where you pressed the spacebar. You should now be able to type any letters or numbers you want. To move the cursor back to the beginning of the line, use the left arrow key. To move the cursor forward, use the right arrow key. If you have trouble moving the cursor around, try using the mouse instead.
12. Typing Text
Once you have typed some text, you need to save it somewhere. There are two ways to do this. First, you can click on the file menu at the top of the screen and choose Save As. Then, you can name the document whatever you want. Second, you can just hit Ctrl+S (or Command+S) to save the document.
13. Saving Files
If you want to open a file again later, you need to find it. In Windows, you can go to My Computer, then double-click on the folder where you saved the file. Once you've opened the file, you can edit it if you'd like.
14. Cutting and Pasting Text
To cut text out of a document, hold down the control key while pressing the delete key. To paste text, hold down the command key while pressing the insert key.
